HOW TO RENT
Renting from SYNC is easy! Here's how to get started:
1. Request a Quote
Request a quote by submitting our Request a Quote form, emailing SYNC@syncphotorental.com, or calling 323-285-5450.
Include your gear list, pickup and return dates, and any special notes about your shoot.
We will get back to you as soon as possible with a detailed quote sent to your email. If you want to get a head start on submitting all required paperwork needed to confirm your rental, please proceed to the next step.
2. Create an Account
Go to syncphotorental.com/welcome to create your account.
*Existing Users / Returning Clients
If you have already used our online portal and just want to update your information, go directly to your Dashboard.
Once approved, you can log in to complete your account by filling out the following required forms:
My Info – Fill in your basic contact and company information
Rental Policies – Review, sign and agree to our rental policies
Rental Agreement – Review, sign and agree to the rental agreement
Payment Information – Add a credit card and billing address via our payment partner Stripe
Certificate of Insurance (COI) – Review our requirements and upload your COI
Driver Information – Only required if you plan to rent one of our vehicles
Once everything is completed, you’ll be fully set up and cleared to rent from SYNC.
3. Confirm and Receive
Please review your quote carefully to ensure all details are correct. Once everything looks good, let us know that you’d like to confirm your rental. After we receive all required information, we’ll process any necessary holds and prepare your order for pickup or delivery at the agreed-upon date and time.

After your rental has been returned, our team will check in the gear, send your final invoice, and release any temporary holds.

COI Requirements

You must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing a Rented Equipment policy that covers the full replacement value of your rental.

SYNC must be named as Certificate Holder, Additional Insured, and Loss Payee.

COIs with only General Liability or Business Personal Property are not sufficient and will be denied.

If you don’t have a policy yet, you can get an instant quote online from our partner Athos.

When purchasing insurance, make sure your rented equipment policy limit covers the replacement value of the gear you’re renting.

You can find the replacement value on your SYNC quote, or reach out to us if you’re unsure.

For smaller value rentals you may be able to opt out by allowing us to authorize a hold on your credit card for the full replacement cost of the gear + cost of the rental.
